Baku, July 31, AZERTAC
“Relations with the countries of Central Asia are among the key priorities of Azerbaijan's foreign policy,” President Ilham Aliyev said at an informal meeting of the Heads of State of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries held in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon-Ata.
The head of state noted that from the beginning of 2023 to the present day, he had visited the brotherly countries of Central Asia a total of 16 times, while his counterparts from the Central Asian states had visited Azerbaijan 26 times. "This statistic speaks best of the dynamics, the closeness of relations, and the fact that today Central Asia and Azerbaijan have already turned into a single geopolitical and geoeconomic region," President Ilham Aliyev added.
