


Azerbaijani Foreign Minister visits Ukrainian city of Irpin

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov visited the city of Irpin as part of his official visit to Ukraine.
During his visit, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov first paid tribute to the memory of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, by laying flowers at her monument.
FM Bayramov later visited the Irpin City Polyclinic, which was reconstructed with the support and assistance of the Government of Azerbaijan.
Jeyhun Bayramov was informed that the Irpin City Central Polyclinic, severely damaged during active hostilities, was restored with the support of the Government of Azerbaijan and “SOCAR Ukraine” and handed over to the Ukrainian authorities. The renovation included the renewal of the facade and roof, replacement of windows, installation of modern fire safety and ventilation systems, and construction of a new shelter in the basement.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov subsequently visited the Irpin Humanitarian Lyceum "Linguist" named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, which was restored with the assistance and support of the Government of Azerbaijan. During his visit to the museum commemorating Zarifa Aliyeva, it was noted that the school had undergone comprehensive renovation in a short timeframe following the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev. In addition, a generator was supplied to the school to address electricity supply challenges.
Azerbaijani FM was also briefed about the reconstruction projects planned by the Government of Azerbaijan, including four additional large-scale initiatives to be implemented in Irpin.
