The body of Samad Nasrullayev, captain of the civilian merchant vessel Atlas Bey, who was killed in a drone attack off the coast of Odesa, Ukraine, has been recovered and brought to Odesa.
Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs told AZERTAC that the body will be repatriated to Azerbaijan once the necessary procedures have been completed.
"We extend our deepest condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased ship captain. May he rest in peace," the ministry said in a statement.
