FM Bayramov: We expect OSCE to play a more active role in demining
Baku, August 4, AZERTAC
“Since the 2020 war, 433 individuals have been affected by landmines planted by Armenia. Azerbaijan is implementing most of its demining efforts through its own resources. Although there are certain countries and international organizations supporting our country in this field, the scale of existing assistance falls short of meeting the full scope of needs,” said Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, during a joint press conference held with Ignazio Cassis, Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
"We expect the OSCE to play a more active role in demining, provide stronger support for the implementation of humanitarian projects and the expansion of international cooperation in this area," the minister mentioned.
