


Azerbaijan, China explore inter-party cooperation

On July 23, Tahir Budagov, Deputy Chairman and Head of the Central Office of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), met with a delegation of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), led by Kang Shuai, Deputy Director General of Information Research Center of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Tahir Budagov highlighted the steady development of the Azerbaijan-China relations, grounded in shared historical traditions, mutual trust, and solid friendship, adding that both countries’ leaders place special emphasis on enhancing these ties.
The YAP Deputy Chairman noted that the Joint Statement on the Establishment of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and China, signed on the margins of President Ilham Aliyev’s state visit to China, in April 2025, opens new opportunities for expanding collaboration in green energy, digital technology, and other areas.
He reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s unwavering support for the “One China” policy, stressing the strategic significance of the Belt and Road initiative and the Zangezur Corridor.
Budagov added that the inter-party cooperation between YAP and CCP, as well as reciprocal visit, and enhancing youth interaction contribute to cementing bilateral ties.
Kang Shuai emphasized the steady development of the Azerbaijan-China relations across all domains, attributing this progress to the policies pursued by both countries’ leaders. He also reaffirmed China’s support for Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Underscoring the importance of collaboration between both countries’ ruling parties, Kang noted that the current visit of the CCP delegation would contribute to enhancing bilateral interstate and inter-party relations.
The discussions also reviewed the current state and development of YAP-CCP partnership.
