Baku, August 6, AZERTAC
An analytical article by Nargiz Hajiyeva, Head of the Organization of Scientific Activities Division at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) and Chairperson of the Women Researchers Council, has been published on EMERiCs, the international analytical platform of the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP).
Headlined “Reconstruction to Self-Sustaining Growth: Early Performance of Azerbaijan’s Garabagh Industrial Parks,” the article examines the initial outcomes of industrial park development in Azerbaijan’s Garabagh region.
The article analyses the economic aspects of post-conflict recovery in Garabagh and East Zangezur, highlighting industrial parks, sustainable development initiatives, foreign investment, and long-term economic transformation. It emphasizes their role in strengthening economic independence, creating jobs, and developing the non-oil sector.
Nargiz Hajiyeva is the first Azerbaijani political scientist to have an analytical article published on KIEP’s EMERiCs platform. Her publication introduces Azerbaijan’s post-conflict reconstruction and sustainable development model to an international expert audience and highlights the country’s academic contributions globally.
