For the 2026/2027 academic year, "Information Technologies" is another specialty for which admission is being carried out within the framework of the international dual-degree program (BEU-INHA DDP) implemented between Baku Engineering University and INHA University of the Republic of Korea.
Information Technologies teaches the application of digital technologies — which deeply permeate all areas of life — in solving commercial and organizational problems. During their studies, students acquire modern theoretical knowledge and practical skills in programming, computer networks, databases, information security, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis. Graduates of this specialty gain the competencies necessary to engage in research, innovation, and activity in the international academic environment, as well as the opportunity to build a successful career in various fields. They can work as computer programmers, software engineers, computer systems analysts, computer network specialists, database administrators, information security analysts, web developers, artificial intelligence engineers, machine learning specialists, data analysts, and in other high-demand professions.
The BEU-INHA DDP has been successfully implemented since 2020 within the framework of the "State Program for Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023." Based on the Order "On Additional Measures Related to Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan," signed last year by President Ilham Aliyev, the implementation period of the program has been extended until 2030.
The program's curriculum is based on a 3+1 model. At the end of the study period, students are awarded a bachelor's diploma in "Information and Communication Engineering" by INHA University and in "Information Technologies" by BEU.
Students' one full year of study in Korea and all other expenses are covered within the framework of the State Program.
Admission to the dual-degree program is based on the results of the State Examination Center's (SEC) bachelor's-level entrance examinations and an internal examination to be organized by INHA University. Applicants who are citizens of Azerbaijan and who successfully pass the SEC examinations, scoring the relevant passing threshold set for the 1st specialty group, may take part in the BEU-INHA DDP. As a result of the selection process, 26 students will earn the right to study in the "Information Technologies" specialty.
In addition, candidates who apply to the program must also successfully pass an internal written examination in mathematics, physics, and English, jointly organized by BEU and INHA University. To take part in the internal examination, candidates must submit the required documents through the " online application form.." The final deadline for document submission is August 1, 2026, at 23:55. Documents must be submitted via the online application form by the specified date.
The internal examination for admission to the DDP will be held on August 4, 2026. The examination results will be announced on August 6, 2026.
The list of candidates admitted to the BEU-INHA DDP is sent to the Ministry of Science and Education and officially registered with the SEC. In addition, admitted candidates gain official BEU-INHA DDP student status and are exempted from participating in the SEC's specialty selection (coding) process. Sufficient time has been allocated to ensure that candidates not admitted to the BEU-INHA DDP are able to participate in the SEC's specialty selection (coding) stage.
