“Relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have developed rapidly in recent years. Meetings held between the two countries’ Presidents, as well as the agreements reached allow to further enhance bilateral relations, enriching them with new content,” Shukhrat Oripov, Chairman of the Board of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan, said in an interview with AZERTAC.
The Chairman of Board noted that the historically existing friendly and fraternal ties between the two peoples are being further strengthened today through media cooperation.
"Azerbaijani and Uzbek relations are currently advancing at a high level. The meetings held between the two heads of state and the agreements reached create favorable conditions for expanding our relations across all domains, including the media," he emphasized.
Shukhrat Oripov said that enhancing cooperation between media organizations and journalists of the two countries is of particular importance in better informing the public about Azerbaijan-Uzbek relations.
According to him, reciprocal visits, media tours, and joint professional events between Azerbaijani and Uzbek journalists allow media professionals to build closer ties and deliver objective, comprehensive coverage of both countries.
Shukhrat Oripov also mentioned that media cooperation goes beyond mere information exchange, allowing the common history, culture, and shared values of both peoples to reach a wider audience.
