


Ajax signs Marc ter Stegen on loan from FC Barcelona

Ajax has reached an agreement with FC Barcelona and Marc ter Stegen, according to the official website of the club.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper joins the club on a season-long loan from the Spanish side.
Ter Stegen was born on April 30, 1992 in Mönchengladbach, Germany. He began his professional career with Borussia Mönchengladbach. After three and a half seasons and 127 appearances for his hometown club, he signed for FC Barcelona in 2014.
Since then, he has made 423 appearances for the Catalan club and won numerous honours, including the UEFA Champions League and seven league titles.
The 44-cap Germany international spent the second half of last season on loan at Girona FC, the Spanish club managed by head coach Míchel Sánchez.
