


Azerbaijani wrestlers complete world championship with seven medals

The U17 World Wrestling Championship hosted in Baku has concluded, with the national team of Azerbaijan securing a total of seven medals across the tournament.
In the Greco-Roman discipline, domestic wrestlers captured three silver and three bronze medals. Silver medals were earned by Ali Javadli (45 kg), Abdurrahman Huseynli (51 kg), and Isfahan Hasanov (80 kg), while Omar Salmanov (48 kg), Elmir Charkazov (60 kg), and Orkhan Habibli (65 kg) claimed bronze podium finishes.
The performance was capped on the final day of competition by freestyle wrestler Ibrahim Hasanov, who earned a silver medal in the 51 kg weight category, bringing the country's final tally to seven medals.
