


Open-Air national film screening held in Dashkasan organized by "AzerGold" and Baku Media Center

On the occasion of August 2 – National Cinema Day, an open-air national film screening was held for the first time in the Dashkasan district through the joint organization of "AzerGold" CJSC and the Baku Media Center, with support from the Dashkasan District Executive Authority.
The event featured the screening of the feature film Taghiyev: Oil, produced by the Baku Media Center. Executive produced by Arzu Aliyeva and directed by Zaur Gasimli, the historical biographical drama represents the first installment of a four-part film project detailing the life of prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist Haji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev. The film depicts Taghiyev's ventures in the oil sector, his business journey, and his contributions to national development.
Notably, Taghiyev: Oil has been selected as Azerbaijan's official entry for the 98th Academy Awards in the Best International Feature Film category.
Over 600 spectators attended the screening at an open-air cinema venue established on the grounds of the Youth Training and Recreation Center in Khoshbulag village, Dashkasan district.
