


Ammunition explosion injures one in Kalbajar district

On July 21, an ammunition explosion occurred in the Zaylik village of the liberated Kalbajar district, Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General’s office said in a statement.
Sarkhan Isgandarov, a resident of the Gazakh district, born in 1987, was injured as a result ammunition explosion while grazing animals in an area that had not been cleared of mines.
The district prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Prosecutor's Office once again urge citizens to strictly adhere to safety rules, pay attention to mine danger signs, avoid entering unfamiliar or potentially hazardous areas, and not interfere in areas where fencing activities are being carried out.
