Azerbaijani U-17 boxers delivered an outstanding performance at an international tournament in Gori, Georgia, capturing a total of 13 medals.
The national squad secured 5 gold, 6 silver, and 2 bronze medals.
Hasrat Mammadov (46kg), Ismayil Nasirzada (52kg), Ali Abasli (60kg), Yusif Hasanli (66kg), and Shukar Aliyev (80kg) defeated all their opponents to scale the highest step of the podium and claim gold.
Meanwhile, Vagif Mahammadli (50kg), Qardash Rahimov (54kg), Ali Jamalzada (57kg), Yusif Aghakishiyev (75kg), Saleh Farajov (80kg), and Mehran Rasulov (+80kg) earned silver medals. Aydin Shahbazov (46kg) and Sabir Rustamov (60kg) added bronze to the country’s tally.
