


Baku-hosted Turkic World Week features panel discussion on Turkic World and international cooperation

On June 30, the second day of the Turkic World Week, marking the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, featured a panel discussion titled “The Turkic World and International Scientific Cooperation."
Prior to the session, the participants visited the Ismailiyya Palace, which houses the Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
In his opening remarks, Isa Habibbeyli, ANAS President, noted that more than 300 guests from 26 countries had attended the opening ceremony of Turkic World Week in Baku.
Moderated by Professor Nadir Mammadli, Director of the Nasimi Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, the panel explored enhancing scientific cooperation across the Turkic world, promoting joint scientific research, preserving the common linguistic, historical, and cultural heritage, and expanding international academic cooperation.
It featured remarks by Muzaffer Şeker, President of the Turkish Academy of Sciences; Gezim Hoxha, lecturer at the Faculty of History and Archaeology at Albania’s University of Tirana; Malik Otarbayev, Adviser to the President of Kazakhstan; Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan.
