Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports presented with special medal and award at European Gymnastics Congress

Azerbaijani Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov presided over the 30th European Gymnastics Congress held in Sofia, Bulgaria, in his capacity as the President of the organization.
The Congress, with a primary focus on discussions regarding the development of gymnastics, saw a number of reports, the updated Statutes and the budgets for 2024 and 2025 being approved, and the titles of ‘Honorary members’ admitted. In addition, the hosting rights for the 2025 Congress have been granted to Prague, Czech Republic.
During the event, Farid Gayibov awarded honorary medals of the European Gymnastics to his Bulgarian counterpart Dimitar Iliev, and the mayor of Sofia Vassil Terziev. Simultaneously, the Azerbaijani minister received a special medal from the Lithuanian National Olympic Committee and an award from the European Athletics.
