Baku, November 24, AZERTAC According to the training plan of the Land Forces for the current year, the athletics competitions among military personnel of the Azerbaijan Army have ended, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.8 teams from Army Corps, formations and combined units fought in the competitions held in sports campus of one of the military units.At the closing ceremony, the memory of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honoured with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by a military orchestra was performed.The speakers noted that the championship, which was held in accordance with international rules, successfully ended. It was noted that each competitor showed high physical training and fighting spirit.According to the final results, the Shamkir team took first place.Cups, honorary certificates, and medals were presented to the winning team and to the military personnel who took the first three places.In the end, competition participants took joint photo.
