Baku, October 16, AZERTAC As part of the visit to Kazakhstan, President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Afandiyeva and Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha district Aydin Karimov have met with Minister of Culture and Information of the country Aida Balayeva.Azerbaijani MPs - academician Nizami Jafarov, Fatma Yildirim, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kazakhstan Aghalar Atamoghlanov also attended the meeting.The meeting hailed the important role of holding "Shusha Days" in the cities of Astana and Turkestan in strengthening historical ties of brotherhood and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.The parties commended the publication of the Foundation's new book "Abay in Azerbaijan and the world" dedicated to the great poet and hinker of the Kazakh people Abay Kunanbayev and its presentation in Astana, the circulation of postage stamps by the Foundation in Spain on the occasion of Abay's 175th anniversary and holding "Abay Day" at the central headquarters of the organization.The sides also discussed future plans for joint activities and cooperation in the field of culture and heritage.
