Baku, October 14, AZERTAC An exhibition titled “Photos and clothing of Turkish Cypriots” has been launched in Baku as part of the Days of Culture and Presentations of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar, head of the representative office of this country in Azerbaijan Ufuk Arca Turganer, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci, as well as many officials and diplomats attended the exhibition. Prior to the opening ceremony, the memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani martyrs, who gave their lives for the country`s territorial integrity was honored with observing a minute of silence. Then the national anthems of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus were performed. Speaking at the ceremony, President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar hailed the organization of such events in fraternal Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of unity in the Turkic world. President Ersin Tatar noted that the photos displayed at the exhibition reflect the life in Northern Cyprus in different periods.The exhibition featured works of art and costumes of Northern Cyprus, as well as national dances were performed.
