Baku, August 9, AZERTAC The Italian city of San Remo hosted a concert called "O Patro Mia", held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev, the founder of modern Azerbaijan, outstanding politician and statesman. Corbetta city mayor, public figures and mass media representatives attended the event held with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora. The concert was organized by Azerbaijani composer Kamala Alizade, and her husband, composer-musician Stefano Muscaritolo.Employee of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Leyla Hamzayeva welcomed the guests before the start of the concert. “According to the relevant Decree of the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, this year has been declared "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in Azerbaijan. Number of events dedicated to prominent figure are being held in our homeland and abroad,” said Leyla Hamzayeva.It has been emphasized that the Committee supports the projects of diaspora members, including the first project of composer Kamala Alizade held within the framework of the "Year of Heydar Aliyev". It has been mentioned that presentation of the Azerbaijani culture abroad serves peace, friendship, and cultural diversity and bring together various peoples.The guests were also informed about diaspora policy of the independent Azerbaijan, and the activities of the State Committee. Particular gratitude was expressed to the Azerbaijani diaspora members in Italy for organizing this concert. The incomparable contributions of Azerbaijanis to the socio-political, socio-economic and humanitarian fields of Italy were highly appreciated.Then Kamala Alizade (piano), Stefano Muscaritolo (guitar), Tatyana Anisimova (soprano) and Eduard Lyashuk (bass) performed the works of famous Azerbaijani, German and Italian composers, as well as their own compositions, "Ay Lachin", "You are beautiful", "Flying on Shusha" songs were presented. Bordighera City Symphony Orchestra conducted by maestro Massimo Dal Pra accompanied them.After the concert, Corbetta mayor highly appreciated the musical event held within the framework of "Heydar Aliyev Year".It should be noted that before the concert, Kamala Alizade, laureate of international competitions, author of symphonic and chamber music, held a briefing together with her husband and gave detailed information about their project and answered the journalists' questions.Kamala Alizade, has graduated from Arif Malikov’s class, a prominent Azerbaijani composer at the Baku Music Academy, and continued her studies in Italy (Instituto Superiore di Studi Musicali). Her works were performed in Italy, the Netherlands, USA, Japan, China, and New Zealand. It should be noted that the composer and her husband Stefano Muscaritolo implement various projects to promote Azerbaijani music abroad.
