Vang village, Kalbajar district

Vang village of the Kalbajar district is located on the bank of the Tartar river, in the administrative area of Baghlipaya village. Khudaveng monastery complex sits near this village.
The village was occupied by Armenian armed forces in 1993. During the occupation, Armenian vandals destroyed the village and turned it into ruins.
After the glorious Victory of the Azerbaijan Army in the Second Karabakh War, Kalbajar district was returned to Azerbaijan on November 25 under the trilateral Statement signed by the President of Azerbaijan, the President of Russia and the Prime Minister of Armenia on November 10, 2020.
