Jose Luis Mendilibar appointed new Sevilla head coach

Spanish La Liga club Sevilla announced Tuesday that Jose Luis Mendilibar has been appointed their new head coach, according to Anadolu Agency.
The 62-year-old Basque coach signed a contract until June 30, it said.
Mendilibar succeeds Argentine manager Jorge Sampaoli, who was officially sacked by the Spanish side Tuesday because of poor results.
Mendilibar, who coached Alaves for a short period in 2022, also took the helm at several Spanish clubs including, Althletic Bilbao, Levante, Osasuna and Real Valladolid.
