Baku, December 21, AZERTAC Uzbek grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov, who had grabbed the lead early on, has won the Rapid section of the Vugar Gashimov Memorial 2022 after securing a win and two draws in R7-9. After nine rounds Abdusattorov earned 14 points.Spanish Francisco Vallejo Pons and Azerbaijan`s Rauf Mammadov shared 2nd and 3rd places with 12 points respectively.Following the rest day, 18 rounds of blitz will be held on December 22-24. The winner of the Vugar Gashimov Memorial 2022 will be determined at the end of the rapid and blitz competitions.
