Mick Schumacher follows in his father's footsteps: From Ferrari to Mercedes

Mick Schumacher will depart Scuderia Ferrari, where trained as an Academy driver, to join Mercedes as a reserve driver for 2023, according to Marca.
The son of the seven-time Formula 1 champion spent the last two seasons at Haas after winning both the Formula 3 and Formula 2 championships.
His contract with Ferrari came to an end but Schumacher is willing to continue in Formula 1, as he ruled out new adventures, such as DTM, IndyCar or Endurance.
"I am thrilled to be part of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team as their reserve driver for 2023, and I am committed to give it my all to contribute to their performance in this very competitive and professional environment," said Schumacher.
"I take this as a new start, and I am just excited and grateful to [team principal] Toto [Wolff] and everybody involved for putting their trust in me."
The young German will attend every Grand Prix to cover for his teammates in the event either Lewis Hamilton or George Russell pick up an injury. Meanwhile, Wolff was full of praise for Schumacher's virtues.
"Mick is a talented young driver and we're delighted to have him join the team," Wolff noted.
