Union of OIC News Agencies organizes virtual workshop on Global Media Congress to be held in Abu Dhabi VIDEO

The Union of OIC News Agencies (UNA), in cooperation with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) and the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC), has organized a virtual workshop for news agencies introducing the Global Media Congress to be held in Abu Dhabi on November 15-17, 2022.
Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), UNA Bureau member Aslan Aslanov also joined the event. Representatives from more than 40 news agencies in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) participated in the workshop.
UNA Acting Director-General Mohammed Abd Rabbo Al-Yami said that the Global Media Congress will be hosted by WAM news agency under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court. He noted that the Global Media Congress represents an unprecedented opportunity for member news agencies to learn about the global best practices in the field of media and communication, and to explore cutting-edge innovations, both in terms of content production and moderation and in terms of the construction of media platforms.
WAM Director-General Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, revealed in his speech that was delivered by Ali Yousef Al-Saad, WAM Acting Deputy Director General that the Global Media Congress will bring together a global elite of media industry in the fields of journalism, radio, TV, multimedia, digital marketing, and artificial intelligence as well as innovation in social media content.
The Global Media Congress, to be held under the theme “Shaping the future of the media industry”, will bring together the elite of media industry both regional and international.
The pillars of the congress include digital communications, artificial intelligence, advanced technologies and innovation in the media sector.
The Congress will also present specialist sessions on journalism, radio, television, the internet, social media and international influencers.
