Baku, April 7, AZERTAC According to the combat coordination plan of the Nakhchivan garrison troops for 2022, joint tactical exercises on the topic “Organization of border search to prevent violation of the state border” were held, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.In accordance with the scenario of the exercises, border violators crossing the state border attempted to enter the territory of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. According to the signal received from the border squad, the military personnel of the border units was raised on the “Stand-to-Arms” command. The “Alert Group" moved to the place of the incident, and the "Covering Team" border detachments moved in the direction of violation of the state border to block the territory along the designated frontiers. After identifying violations of the state border, border protection was strengthened and the units of the relevant structures were notified. Search activities in the direction of violation of the state border are carried out by mobile groups of the border commandant service and search groups of border outposts.A joint headquarters was established in the operational area for the more effective conduct of operational-search activities. A group of the Nakhchivan Independent Border Division together with special forces units of the Combined Arms Army and special forces detachments of the Nakhchivan Independent Operational Brigade of the Internal Troops blocked the territory along the designated frontiers in the search area in the direction of violation of the state border to prevent the entry of border violators into the depths of the territory. In the course of joint activities, raids are carried out on roads near the area, and checkpoints are organized at the entrances and exits of the operation area in order to collect information about unknown persons in the settlements of isolated areas. Border violators detected as a result of the successful search activities are surrounded and detained, and regime restrictions are removed by suspending work in the border search area.At the end of the exercises, first deputy commander of the Nakhchivan Independent Border Division - Chief of Staff Colonel Mukhtar Hamzayev noted that the goals set in the exercise were achieved as a result of joint activities.
