AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini tests positive for COVID-19

Baku, March 23, AZERTAC

AC Milan’s technical director and club legend Paolo Maldini has tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced Saturday, according to Sportsnet.
After finding out that he was in contact with a person who had tested positive for the coronavirus, the 51-year-old started to show symptoms and was tested on Friday. His son Daniel, who plays for AC Milan’s youth team also tested positive.
Both Maldini and his son completed two weeks in self-quarantine but will remain in isolation until they have been medically cleared by health authorities. They are the first members of AC Milan to have a positive test for COVID-19.
Maldini played for AC Milan from 1984 to 2009, as a left back and central defender.
Juventus confirmed Saturday afternoon that striker Paulo Dybala was the third player to test positive on the team, after Daniel Rugani and Blaise Matuidi.
