Georgia’s ambassador to Azerbaijan was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and requested an appropriate explanation on the fact that a group of Georgian citizens violated the state border in the direction of Azerbaijan and attacked, as well as insulted the border guard service near the Keshikcidag cave complex located in Azerbaijan, press service of the ministry has told AZERTAC.
“With pity we note that such actions are totally contrary to the spirit of strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia and we regard it as a provocation aimed at confrontation between the two countries,” the ministry says.
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs demanded from the other side to investigate the incident and take relevant measures, as well as inform the ministry about the work done.
