Azerbaijani judokas grab nine medals on Day 1 of IBSA Grand Prix in Baku

Azerbaijani judokas have claimed a clutch of nine medals, including three golds, three silvers and three bronze medals on the first day of the IBSA (International Blind Sports Federation) Grand Prix in Baku.
The gold medals were clinched by Vugar Shirinli in the 60kg weight class and female judokas Shahane Hajiyeva (48kg) and Sevda Valiyeva (57kg).
The two-day Grand Prix commemorating Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev brings together 214 judokas from 35 countries. Azerbaijan’s squad includes 21 Paralympic athletes.
