A total of 1,513,000 tourists visited Azerbaijan in the seven months of 2017, said head of information and public relations department at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Vugar Shikhammadov. This is 24 per cent more compared with the same period of last year, he said.
According to Shikhammadov, the largest number of tourists - 330,000 people- visited the country in July.
Russia accounts for the largest part of foreign tourists visiting Azerbaijan.
