Baku, May 16 (AzerTAc). The 8th Baku International Motor Show and the 1st Caspian International Boat and Yacht Exhibition have been launched at the Baku Expo Center.
Deputy Chief of Azerbaijan State Maritime Administration Ehtiram Rahimov addressed the opening ceremony.
He said the 1st Caspian International Boat and Yacht Exhibition was organized by the State Maritime Administration, and stressed the importance of the event.
Deputy Executive Director of Iteca Caspian Bahruz Hidayatzade noted that the Baku International Motor Show “BIMS-2014” involved 85 companies from 14 countries, including Germany, China, Poland, Russia and Turkey. He said it was organized by Iteca Caspian LLC and its partner, ITE Group Plc, and officially supported by the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation, AZPROMO and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers’) Organizations of Azerbaijan.
The main events of the exhibition included presentations by Suzuki (SX4 S CROSS), Great Wall, Volvo and Toyota, and the premiere of the Lexus hybrid models (Lexus RX Hybrid, Lexus GS Hybrid), as well as test drives of the top-of-the-range models from the leading players in the market. Motorcycle dealers presented models from Aprilia, Suzuki, Harley Davidson, Vespa, Bike-Lift, Yamaha, Haojue and Piaggio Zontes Scoyco Polaris.
The international status of the exhibition is confirmed by the quality mark it has received from UFI, the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.
The CIBS features leading companies in the yachting business from Azerbaijan, Austria, Great Britain, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Ukraine, France, Sweden and Japan.
