EHTTA experts visit Azerbaijani resorts
Baku, August 3, AZERTAC
The European Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA) has sent its experts to Azerbaijan to assess the country's potential.
On July 22-29 the EHTTA experts Michel Thomas Pinet and Ahmet Hikmet Shahin have come to Azerbaijan to study the possibility of country's participation in EHTTA's project "Thermal Routes", the Ministry of Culture andTourism of Azerbaijan said .
"We estimated thermal sanatoriums Istisu in Masalli, Yengicə in Gabala and Qalaaltı in Shabran, which generally conform to the European standards, although they have their own specifics. The Culture ad Tourism Ministry wants to expand sanatoriums' capabilities due to their joining the Association, and for that purpose we'll prepare and present a certificate and submit it to the EHTTA Technical Committee. Only after that the registration of membership will begin," Pinet said following the visit.
In turn, Mr. Shahin underlined the great potential of thermal tourism in Azerbaijan.
"The only challenge today is to attract qualified doctors to Azerbaijani sanatoriums," Shahin added.
