Baku, January 26 AzerTAc “Our people will never forget the Jewish community representatives` fighting together with them during the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh war,” said chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organisations Mubariz Gurbanli as he met Mayor of the Israeli city of Acre Shimon Lankri. The chairman also provided an insight into progress achieved in the field of ensuring the freedom of conscience, as well as tolerance and multicultural environment in Azerbaijan. Mayor Shimon Lankri hailed the role of relations between the Azerbaijani people and the Jewish community in the country in strengthening ties between the two countries.
