Japanese deputy FM visits Baku State University

Japanese deputy Foreign Minister Minoru Kiuchi has visited the Baku State University. He met rector Abel Maharramov, who hailed Azerbaijani-Japanese ties. Mr Maharramov said the two countries enjoy good cooperation in the field of education.
The rector said Japanese language is taught at BSU. “For 15 years we have been admitting students on the Japanese language specialty. Every year we conduct contests on Japanese language.” Mr Maharramov also said BSU maintains close cooperation with Japanese companies specializing in innovative technologies.
He also spoke of interparliamentary cooperation, and said Azerbaijan is ready to cooperate with Japan on all fronts.
Mr Kiuchi praised the teaching of Japanese language at the Baku State University. He underlined the significance of deepening the bilateral cooperation in the field of education.
