Moscow, September 28 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has received the Order of Holy Prince Daniel of Moscow from Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia and Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church Kirill as part of his visit to the Russian capital.
Speaking to the award giving ceremony, Patriarch Kirill said: “I would like to emphasize your special role as the chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office. You have helped solve problems of both the Orthodox Christians and Muslims with your well thought-out position.”
The Patriarch hailed relations between the Moscow Patriarchy and the Caucasian Muslims Office.
“No external force can harm positive relationship between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Russia,” he added.
Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade extended Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s greetings to the Patriarch of Moscow.
Mr. Pashazade noted that “there is always a particular need for advices of the great Russian nation’s religious figures”.
The Sheikhulislam praised overall development of Azerbaijan-Russia ties.
Azerbaijani Ambassador in Moscow Polad Bulbuloglu was present at the ceremony.
