Chairman of Caucasian Muslims` Office meets Chechen President

Baku, November 15 (AzerTAc). Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims` Office Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade has today met President of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation Ramzan Kadyrov.
Prior to the meeting, Ramzan Kadyrov viewed the Sheikhulislam`s residence.
They discussed bilateral relations, friendly ties between the peoples and religious issues.
Pashazade praised bilateral relationship between Azerbaijan and Russia.
He stressed the importance of developing relationship between Azerbaijan and Chechnya.
He noted Azerbaijani model of tolerance was an example for other countries.
The Sheikhulislam said Azerbaijani and Chechen peoples had historical friendly relations, adding Islam plays an important role in development of these ties.
Touching upon the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Pashazde said the conflict must be settled peacefully on the basis of Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
The Chechen President expressed pleasure with his visit to Baku. He also expressed gratitude for the hospitality.
Ramzan Kadyrov stressed the importance of joint fight against religious radicalism in the Caucasus region.
Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin was present at the meeting.
