Baku, September 11 (AzerTAc). A delegation led by governor of Iran's Khorasan Province Alirza Rashidiyan has today visited the Tazapir Mosque in Baku.
They were informed about the reconstruction work carried out in the Mosque. The complex has an educational building of the Baku Islamic University.
The delegation viewed a library of the Caucasian Muslims Board.
Then, the Iranian delegation met Chairman of the Clerical Office of Caucasus Muslims Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade.
They discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as religious issues.
Pashazade said Azerbaijan and Iran were bound together by historical friendly and fraternal ties, adding these contributed to developing bonds between the two countries in the political, economic, religious and cultural fields.
Pashazade praised the efforts of Iran in the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
Alirza Rashidiyan, in turn, highlighted religious, cultural, historical relations between the two countries, and praised development of the Azerbaijan-Iran ties.
