Baku hosts International Conference dedicated to 740th anniversary of death of Tusi
Baku, September 10 (AzerTAc). An International Conference on the theme “The History, Current State and a Look into the Future of Mathematics and Astronomy” dedicated to the 740th anniversary of the death of Nasiraddin Tusi, medieval scientist, is being held in Baku.
The conference is attended by scientists from various countries, including Spain, France, England, Switzerland, Russia, Iran and Uzbekistan.
The event was opened by ANAS vice president, academician Akif Hajiyev, who spoke of the great scientist.
Breakout sessions of the two-day conference will be held at Azerbaijan University and the Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory named after Nasiraddin Tusi of ANAS.
