CAC Program Steering Committee convenes in Tashkent
Baku, September 24 (AzerTAc). Tashkent has hosted the 14th Steering Committee meeting of the Regional Collaborative Research Program for Central Asia and the Caucasus (CAC Program) of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR).
The event was attended by heads of national agricultural research systems of over 20 member states and directors general of over 10 international agricultural research centers.
The two-day meeting featured the presentation of an overview of the CAC Program`s activities and achievements. The participants also discussed future priorities of collaborative agricultural research-for-development in the Region, including governance of the Program, its mode of operation and budget.
Azerbaijan was represented at the event by Javanshir Talai, director of the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry.
Talai made a report highlighting agricultural achievements in Azerbaijan.
