Baku, 21 September (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Argentina have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The document was signed by Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Ismat Abasov and Argentina`s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Lorenzo Basso.
Prior to the signing ceremony, they had conversation during which Abasov briefed Basso on the ongoing reforms in his country in agricultural sphere.
The Minister said the Memorandum of Understanding would give impetus to development of Azerbaijan-Argentina relationship. He noted reciprocal visits by the two countries` businessmen would contribute to expanding agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
Basso, in turn, said during the visit he became acquainted with the accomplishments in Azerbaijan in agricultural sector, and this is great experience for his country. The Deputy Minister also added Azerbaijan-Argentina agricultural cooperation would contribute to increasing trade turnover between the two countries.
