Baku, September 19 (AzerTAc). Chairman of Azerbaijan State Committee for
Work with Religious Associations Hidayet Orujov met with the US ambassador to the country Matthew Bryza.
Orujov recalled Bryza`s activity as the co-chairmanship of the OCSE Minsk Group, expressing trust in his both theoretical and practical awareness of the national-religious tolerance of the Azerbaijanis.
The Committee`s chairman said the Committee he supervises and US ambassador to Azerbaijan enjoy traditional effective relations and this will be continued.
Bryza said he wished to work in Azerbaijan while he was waiting for a new appointment, and his family has supported hi in this. Noting that Azerbaijan is strategic partner of the United States, Mr. Bryza said: “We are friends, and I shall make due efforts to bring this to the notice of all in my country.”
The sides had comprehensive exchange of views on a range of questions.
