German agriculture specialists visit Education Ministry

Baku, February 11 (AzerTAc). Education Minister Misir Mardanov met Thursday with Professor of the University of Applied Sciences Weihenstephan-Triesdorf, manager of the strengthening the Initial Vocational Education in the Field of Agriculture project, project advisor Rudiger Heining and project assistant Marian Strobel.
The Minister touched upon vocational education improvement projects. He pledged the Ministry would throw its support behind the strengthening the Initial Vocational Education in the Field of Agriculture project. Mardanov pointed out EU-funded “Vocational Education and Training Reform Strategy and Pilot Implementation in a selected region in Azerbaijan” had been successfully completed. He expressed assurance the new project would contribute to human resource development in agriculture in the country.
Strobel told of the cooperation with respective agencies to implement the strengthening the Initial Vocational Education in the Field of Agriculture project and conduct of trainings in Ganja.
The contract on the project is scheduled to be prepared by March 15.
Discussions also revolved around training trip to Germany to learn more about the vocational education in this country and future steps to implement the project.
