Baku, April 2 (AzerTAc). Dubai (UAE) - based Azerbaijani Society has organized an event to mark March 31 -Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis.
Chairman of the Society Samir Imanov briefed the event participants on savageries committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis.
He noted that Armenians have been pursuing a policy of occupation and genocide against the Azerbaijani people.
Imanov pointed out “Armenian atrocities were given legal and political assessment thanks to strenuous efforts made by national leader Heydar Aliyev.”
“According to the decree signed by national leader on March 26, 1998, every year March 31 is marked as the Day of Genocide of Azerbaijanis,” Imanov said.
The event participants were handed over books dealing with vandalism committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis.
They also viewed a photo exhibition on 31 March genocide.
