7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue features plenary session on civilizational diplomacy and strategic foresight

Baku, October 27, AZERTAC
The 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, themed “Dialogue for a Shared Future,” featured a plenary session entitled “Civilizational Diplomacy and Strategic Foresight — Anticipating Tensions, Building Inclusive Pathways to Peace.”
Organized in partnership with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and Azerbaijan’s Center for Analysis of International Relations and Multiculturalism, the session aimed to explore how can civilizational actors, states, cultural and religious institutions, scientific communities, be integrated as genuine partners in a diplomatic framework, and what foresight tools let that framework detect emerging intercultural tensions early enough to design preventive, rather than reactive, responses.
Speakers noted that international dialogue platforms held in Baku, including the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, outline the importance of bringing together diverse voices and building connections among different perspectives.
The discusssion stressed the significance of amplifying youth voices, while also focusing on fostering intercivilization dialogue and advancing peace based on inclusive approaches.
