On the fifth day of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev attended and delivered speech/remarks in a number of high-level events and held bilateral meetings.
At the High-Level Meeting of the UNAOC Group of Friends, he highlighted Azerbaijan’s pioneering role in the Baku Process and the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue. He also announced that Azerbaijan expresses its intention to host the UNAOC Global Forum in 2027.
At the Joint Arab-Islamic Ministerial Meeting on Jerusalem, he reiterated Azerbaijan’s firm support to a two-state solution, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as the capital of the State of Palestine, in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions.
Yalchin Rafiyev held bilateral meetings with Fatumata Jau, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guinea Bissau and   for an exchange of views on cooperation within international organizations.
