Baku, September 26, AZERTAC The Azerbaijan Infrastructure Investment Dialogue was held in Baku as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, co-organized by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and global asset manager BlackRock.The dialogue brought together senior Azerbaijani officials, international investment institutions, infrastructure companies and global businesses to discuss investment opportunities in artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, energy infrastructure, and strategic transport and logistics corridors.The first panel, on AI and digital infrastructure, focused on the adoption of AI technologies, data processing and storage, digital connectivity, digitalization and investment opportunities, as well as public-private cooperation. The session was addressed by Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev and others.The second panel, on energy infrastructure, addressed changing investment priorities, energy security, the growing role of renewable energy, institutional investment in energy projects, and cooperation between the public and private sectors. The session was addressed by Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf, Chief Executive Officer of Vision Invest Omar N. Al-Midani and others. The final panel focused on strategic transport and logistics corridors, including investment in transport and logistics infrastructure, regional connectivity and the development of strategic transport corridors. Participants also discussed Azerbaijan’s role in transport routes linking regional markets.The three sessions highlighted the importance of long-term institutional capital and public-private cooperation in developing infrastructure and provided a platform for exchanging views on investment priorities, market trends and infrastructure development.
