Baku, September 26, AZERTAC Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov addressed the High-level Meeting of the Global Development Initiative marking its fifth anniversary on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.The minister commended China for driving this vital framework toward achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.He highlighted the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established between Azerbaijan and China following President Ilham Aliyev’s historic state visit to Beijing.The minister welcomed China’s vision for reforming the international system based on sovereign equality, respect for the UN Charter, and the rule of international law.The minister emphasized Azerbaijan’s practical role as a reliable regional transit hub, driving the continuous modernization of the Middle Corridor to create secure trade links between China and Europe that directly lower trade costs and expand market access for developing nations.Minister Jeyhun Bayramov reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to advancing South-South solidarity and implementing effective cooperative frameworks to share practical tools, technology, and resources so that no developing nation is left behind.
