Baku, September 25, AZERTAC The 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum featured discussions on expanding economic cooperation between the South Caucasus and Central Asia, as well as enhancing investment opportunities and regional connectivity.A panel session titled “Azerbaijan at the Center of South Caucasus–Central Asia Strategic Partnerships: The Key Driver of Regional Cooperation” was held as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum in Baku, held under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev. The session was moderated by AnewZ TV Deputy Editor-in-Chief Orkhan Amashov.Azerbaijan’s role as one of the key platforms for economic cooperation between the South Caucasus and Central Asia was highlighted by Taleh Ziyadov, Adviser to the Minister of Economy. It was noted that the development of the Middle Corridor, green energy, mutual investments, and joint transport projects are strengthening regional economic integration.The event also featured remarks by Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade Sezai Uçarmak; President of the Turkic Investment Fund Baghdad Amreyev; Executive Head of the Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States in Hungary Balázs Hendrich; Chief Executive Officer and Board Member of Sabancı Holding Kıvanç Zaimler; Vice President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank Ziya Aliyev; CEO of Georgia’s LEPL Invest in Georgia Mikheil Khidureli; Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Logistics at Kazakhstan Temir Zholy; and others.Participants discussed the establishment of a South Caucasus–Central Asia cooperation platform, the expansion of Caspian trade and investment ties, and the strengthening of regional economic integration.The 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum is being held in Baku under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev, focusing on trust, connectivity, and investment stability.
