Baku, September 25, AZERTAC Baku Slavic University (BSU) has climbed 404 places in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026, advancing to 527th globally from 931st last year.BSU also moved up three spots nationally to rank 7th among Azerbaijani universities, compared to 10th position in 2025.The UI GreenMetric World University Rankings evaluates higher education institutions on sustainability practices across six core categories: infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste management, water resources, transportation, and education.First launched in 2010 with 95 participating universities across 35 countries, the ranking expanded to encompass 2,016 universities from 110 countries in 2026.
