2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum kicks off in Baku

Baku, September 25, AZERTAC
The 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum commenced in Baku on September 25 under the patronage of President Ilham Aliyev.
The forum is co-organized by the Ministry of Economy and the Export and Investment Promotion Agency of Azerbaijan (AZPROMO) themed “Rebuilding Trust in a Fragmented World: The South Caucasus as a Pillar of Global Connectivity and Investment Stability.”
Samir Sharifov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister, read out President Ilham Aliyev’s address to the participants of the forum.
The forum brings together leading investors from around the world, representatives of governments and international financial institutions, and business leaders. Plenary and panel sessions will feature an exchange of views on the Middle Corridor, energy and the green transition, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, infrastructure, industry and free economic zones, critical raw materials, agribusiness, financial cooperation, the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, tourism, real estate, and investment in human capital.
Discussions will focus particularly on Azerbaijan’s transformation from an established role as a reliable energy partner and transit hub to a broader economic platform supporting industrial production, investment, and the development of regional value chains.
The 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum serves as an important platform for presenting Azerbaijan’s investment opportunities to the international business community, fostering public-private partnerships, enhancing cooperation with foreign investors and international financial institutions, and promoting new investment projects. As part of the international event, crucial documents covering industry, finance, construction, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, agriculture, water resources, and sports are expected to be signed.
Changes in the global economy, the restructuring of supply chains, the emergence of new transportation and energy routes, and the growing impact of technology and artificial intelligence on economic processes are also bringing new approaches to the investment agenda. Against this backdrop, Azerbaijan’s strategic position connecting Europe and Asia further enhances its role in regional and global connectivity.
The forum is organized in partnership with prominent think tanks. The forum’s strategic partner, "The European House – Ambrosetti & TEHA Group," is one of Europe’s leading think tanks, renowned for its analytical research in economic policy, investment, and competitiveness.
