Sahib Alakbarov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Economy, attended the 4th Ministerial Meeting on Industry of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
In his remarks, Sahib Alakbarov noted that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to fostering cooperation with the ECO and enhancing economic ties among ECO member states, adding that there is significant potential for expanding economic cooperation within the ECO.
Subsequently, he briefed the participants on Azerbaijan’s industrial and investment potential, as well as efforts aimed at supporting business and entrepreneurial activities in the country.
The Deputy Minister of Economy also highlighted the development of competitive and export-oriented production, the activities of industrial zones, as well as the development of digitalization and human capital.
The meeting focused on enhancing regional industrial cooperation, investment, transport and logistics, and trade ties.
A key outcome was the adoption of the Dushanbe Declaration on Revitalizing Regional Industrial Cooperation.
